10/10 wedding vendors for ur wedding!!! ✨😍

Earlier this year we did a thing…. the Ts got married 🥰💍 We honestly had lots of fun planning our wedding and thankful that everything went as smoothly as it can be HAHAHA. Would love to share our list of wedding vendors (which we highly recommend) with you to help any brides and grooms to-be out there!! :)

1. Photography: @amabellephotog

We did both our PWS and AD with Amabelle and she’s the sweetest person ever! She let us be in our natural element yet patiently listened and guided us whenever we needed some direction; she with so patient with our family and friends on the actual day despite the chaos; and returned amazing sneaks 1-2 days after our wedding so we could share them with our loved ones promptly!!

Our 2hr PWS was $780 and 8hr AD was $2280 - which are very reasonable rates on the market as well!

2. Videography: @wemerrygoround

We were initially hesitant about having a videographer (wanted to save money after all the reno and hse costs🥲), and didn’t want to “act” out certain stuffs for the sake of a video. But thank goodness we went ahead becos it was rly a no-regrets decision!! Jessica and Alvin are an amazing husband & wife team (one of them started out at bride’s hse and the other at the groom’s so you get prep shots at both) - we loved their calm, warm yet professional vibes. They did a same day edit video for us, and my parents couldn’t stop putting the video on replay the next few days and teared up so many times 🥹 This fact alone made us so thankful we decided to go with a videographer…

We paid $2500 for 8hrs (which included a 4-6mins highlight and 30-60mins wedding documentary), and topped up $500 for the same day edit. P.S: We just received our wedding documentary around 2mths post wedding, and it came in an amazing wooden box with a wooden thumb drive AND they even gifted us a cute toy for our family dog😭

3. Venue: Reddot Brewhouse

Crazy story but we had a last minute change of our wedding venue and we only engaged Reddot in Nov/Dec 25 when our wedding was in March 26 (story for another post LOL). The team was a life-savior, very responsive and was on the ball for the actual day coordination - very thankful for that as it really helped ensure everything ran smoothly.

We had about 180pax and booked out the entire restaurant (min spend $21k++). It was outdoors but fully sheltered and not too hot despite our wedding being a lunch as they had those huge industrial fans - trust us becos we sweat ALOT hahaha.

4. Gown: Truly Enamoured

Went to around 5-6 boutiques before deciding on TE! Wasn’t intentionally looking for a designer gown, but the quality and selection was rly a notch above the local gowns imo. Only rented one main gown so I didn’t mind splurging a little more - paid $2.2k for the initial gown I selected but ended up seeing another one I liked more so topped up to the $2.8k dress tier. The seamstress auntie was also very detailed in tailoring the dress to fit me well.

Slight downside was that I thought the same stylist would follow me throughout all appts (she was amazing and had great reviews from brides online), but for my follow up appts I was assisted by another stylist instead - not a major isssue becos she was rly nice and sweet thankfully 🥰

5. Makeup Artist: @feautte.makeup

Engaged Fish because I saw some good reviews from other brides here on Lemon8! She was patient in understanding my likes & dislikes during the makeup trial, arrived early on AD (so impt becos I heard horror stories about how makeup artists are late and affected the schedule😱) and overall a great and fuss-free experience!!

We paid $976 for makeup & hair + 1 style change + 1 bridal trial! Also topped up $209 for her to do my mum’s makeup

6. Florals: @misa.flora

Highly recommend Misa if you’re looking for a trustable florist with reasonable rates. We wanted to have floral jars on the tables and some decor for the main stage - sourced around and were quite shocked by some of the market prices, which easily ranged from $4k to $8k. Until we met Misa who quoted us $8-$15/jar for real flowers (depending on size and type of flowers) and $800 for the stage decor (faux flowers).

Ngl we were initially a little worried/skeptical that the faux flowers may look too artificial, but the AD set up turned out wayyyy better than we visualised 😭 She’s a real gem!

7. Wedding Cake: @4sweetscake

Chanced upon Serene on Instagram and loved her hand-painted cakes! We paid $578 for a 8” + 10” cake, chose 2 flavors and sent her some reference pictures - and she DELIVERED! 💯 The cake turned out amazing and so many guests even asked us for the contact of the bakery!

8. Wedding Favors

We wanted the favors to have a personal touch and brainstormed hard on how we can achieve this 😂 Decided to make custom blind boxes from and placed items that we personally loved inside (madeleine from Cat in the Hat bakery and coffee capsules from The Brew Therapy - support local, they’re rly amazing!)

... Read moreHaving recently gone through the exciting yet sometimes overwhelming process of wedding planning myself, I truly appreciate the valuable insights shared about trusted vendors like @amabellephotog for photography and @wemerrygoround for videography. One aspect I found crucial was balancing cost with quality; the reasonable pricing for photography and videography mentioned felt realistic without compromising on capturing unforgettable moments. In addition to choosing great vendors, I learned the importance of clear communication and early engagement. For example, booking a venue like the Reddot Brewhouse on short notice could be stressful, but their responsive coordination helped keep everything on track—a reminder to maintain open lines with all vendors. When it comes to gowns, visiting multiple boutiques was essential for me to find a perfect fit and style, much like the experience with Truly Enamoured's tailoring service. It’s also key to verify stylist continuity to avoid surprises later. Furthermore, personal touches such as custom blind box wedding favors reflect loved ones’ personalities and add meaning beyond generic gifts. Supporting local artisans like The Brew Therapy and Cat in the Hat bakery adds uniqueness to the occasion. Lastly, hiring a skilled makeup artist who respects your preferences and timeliness, just like @feautte.makeup, can greatly reduce stress on the day itself. Overall, sharing detailed vendor reviews offers invaluable guidance for those planning their weddings, helping them make confident choices and enjoy a memorable, smoothly orchestrated celebration.
