Diary: Things I do to fill my cup as a Homebody
I just turned my heat on for the first time since it started getting cooler outside. I feel like that’s really the start of the cozy months. Lol That means it’s time for all the cozy season episodes and movies, finally! I already added Harry Potter, Twilight, Sex in the city, and all the holiday episodes of my favorite shows. I love the Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas episodes of Bobs burgers lol. Also, it’s soup season! Now I’m a soup girly, so I eat soup all year round, but I really lean into making soup at home during the months that end with “ber”. I’ve perfectly organized my bedroom since I am going to be inside a lot, and I don’t want that dreaded seasonal depression sneaking in. Redecorating and bringing out holiday decor combats that! Setting a vibe in my apartment is the number 1 way I “fill my cup”. 💕 And my candy bowl doesn’t hurt either. Lol And if you thought I was going to stop making my iced coffees because it’s cold, you thought wrong. Lol I just switch up the syrups and creamers for a more… fitting flavor. 😂🍏🍎🎃🍪 I have made pumpkin spice lattes, sugar cookie, pumpkin pie, Apple cinnamon, and coffee cake lattes. Next on the list is a sweet potato pie latte because… doesn’t that sound insanely good?! The projector gets used more often in the cooler months too. Because how cozy are those cutesy seasonal backgrounds with rain music, or jazz, or Lofi playing in the background while I fall asleep! Ugh I love this time of year. Well, anyway, until next time, thanks for being Here! 🧡
Swipe to the end for a surprise that I’m excited about and that REALLY filled my cup! 💛 #fillmycup

As the cooler weather sets in, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at home becomes essential for maintaining well-being and avoiding seasonal blues. One great way to fill your cup as a homebody is by embracing cozy lifestyle rituals that nurture both body and soul. For instance, cooking your favorite meals the moment a craving strikes can be incredibly satisfying and comforting. This includes leaning into soup season—a ritual loved by many not just in colder months but year-round. Making hearty soups at home is not only nutritious but also adds a sensory layer of warmth through delightful aromas and textures. Organizing personal spaces, such as your bedroom or even a medicine cabinet dedicated to skincare essentials, can boost your mental clarity and comfort. Having a serene, decluttered environment reduces stress and fosters relaxation. Skincare routines, especially with thoughtfully organized products, become self-care moments rather than chores. Seasonal decoration is a powerful mood enhancer. Bringing out holiday decor for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas can evoke joyful nostalgia and create a vibe that keeps the spirits lifted indoors. Pairing décor with mood music—like rain sounds, jazz, or Lofi beats—while relaxing or falling asleep enriches the cozy experience. Using a projector to display calming visuals further transforms your personal sanctuary. Playing with seasonal beverage recipes like iced coffees with fall-inspired syrups and creamers (pumpkin spice, sugar cookie, apple cinnamon, coffee cake, and more) adds a playful and comforting touch to everyday moments. A candy bowl and enjoying kombucha as an alternative to wine also contribute to unique self-pampering rituals. Ultimately, these small, intentional actions serve as important rituals to fill your cup during the colder months. They not only combat seasonal depression but also cultivate a mindful connection with yourself and your environment. Whether it’s organizing skincare, delighting in 'girl dinner' favorites, or leaning into holiday celebrations, these habits create a cozy, joyful homebody lifestyle that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit.
