The coming of the iPhone 18 Pro that is about to change the Android world and what we need to prepare for.
Imagine, if every mobile phone one day looked the same and the system, what would it look like?
Apple's design plans are now almost universally known, especially the iPhone 18 Pro project, the long haul to the iPhone 20 Pro, and surprisingly, the Android world is going to follow in the footsteps of the iPhone, whether or not we use Android.
There are two main things that Android brands are following. The first is the great news because Apple is trying to get rid of the notches and holes in the screen. The goal is to make a truly rimless screen that curves the body at all four angles, hiding the Face ID system under the screen.
Even now, the technology may not be complete, but you know, all the major Chinese mobile labels - Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, Huawei and OnePlus - are ambushing the development of edge-free screens like this. If the mobile industry really comes back with a screen with nothing to hide, it will be awesome.
But the second is a headache. This is a UI design called Liquid Glass.
Granted, Apple's translucent interface looks artwork and prizes, but artwork doesn't always mean it's a good UI. Some people use it even with headaches because of its translucency, so that Apple itself has to tone down the overtones from the first version.
The problem is that if you try to get your hands on a Chinese brand, you can see that the UI almost looks like iOS Liquid Glass, and Google itself, although it is clear that Android will not follow iOS, but the new UI has a similar eye-smelling frosted glass. Even Samsung's One UI is starting to take this direction.
Honestly, an edgeless screen is a good thing for anyone to want, but the Liquid Glass design is not for everyone. If the manufacturer really puts it in, at least it should be free for the user to choose to turn off or adjust the translucency.
