Initially, the shock and frustration of being unable to move freely hit me hard. Daily tasks became a challenge, and I had to rely on crutches, which took some practice to use without pain or risk of further injury. One key lesson I learned early on is the importance of following medical advice exactly, especially regarding rest and physical therapy. While it’s tempting to rush back to normal activities, patience is crucial for proper healing and to avoid setbacks. I found that setting small, achievable goals each day helped keep my spirits up and gave me a sense of progress. Staying connected with friends and family was another essential part of my recovery. Their support provided motivation and helped reduce feelings of isolation, which can often accompany long-term injuries. I also explored online communities where others shared their broken leg experiences and recovery tips, which made me feel less alone. Nutrition played a role too. Eating a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D supported bone healing, and staying hydrated was vital for overall health. Lastly, I discovered the mental side of recovery is just as important as the physical. Practicing mindfulness and positive thinking helped me stay resilient through slower days and challenges. If you or someone you know is dealing with a broken leg, remember that while the road to recovery may be long, embracing small victories and seeking support can make a big difference.

Why is foot placement on leg press so important? Well this is because different foot placements are going to target different muscles more than other placements. So if you want to target quads you should be placing feet different than if you were wanting to target glutes on the leg press ⬇️
