Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce

Bread Pudding:

INGREDIENTS

16 count Hot Dog Buns

1 cups sugar (granulated)

6 eggs

1 stick of unsalted butter

1 tablespoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup White Chocolate Chips

2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 Quart Heavy Cream

1 14oz can of Condensed milk

1 12oz can of Evaporated Milk

Rum Sauce:

Ingredients

1⁄2 stick unsalted butter

1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

1/4 Cup Dark Rum

1/2 cup Whole Milk

1⁄4 cups powdered sugar

1⁄4 cup of Whole Milk to mix with 1 Tbsp of Cornstarch.

DIRECTIONS

For the Bread Pudding:.

Butter a 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Set oven rack in lower third of oven and preheat oven to 325.

Combine all ingredients. Mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into the buttered dish and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes until top is golden brown. Uncover and bake another 20 mins Serve warm with Rum Sauce.

For Rum Sauce:.

Using a hand whisk to mix, put in your butter and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, beating until all butter is absorbed and melted. Pour in rum gradually, stirring constantly. Once rum cooks out pour in your milk, vanilla, and powder sugar. Remove from heat and blend in cornstarch mix. Sauce will thicken as it cools. Serve warm on warm bread pudding.
