Our hearts are absolutely shattered to share that
Our hearts are absolutely shattered to share that sweet Bodhi has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾
After fighting with everything he had, surrounded by love, his humans made the incredibly painful and selfless decision to let him go peacefully rather than continue suffering. His injuries were far more severe than anyone could have imagined. Despite around the clock care, increasing pain medications, and every effort possible from the veterinary team, Bodhi’s little body just couldn’t recover from the trauma he endured.
He was battling devastating nerve damage, severe road injuries, infection, unbearable pain, and complications that would have left him suffering long term. His family consulted with multiple doctors and loved ones before making this heartbreaking decision out of pure love for their boy. Kira’s mom was able to rush to the hospital to be with Bodhi in his final moments, and he will be laid to rest on family land where he will forever be loved and remembered. 💔
There truly are no words for this kind of loss.
We want to thank every single person who donated, shared, prayed, checked in, loved on Bodhi, and supported this family through the most traumatic and emotional days imaginable. Your kindness mattered more than you know. Every donation is still going directly toward Bodhi’s emergency veterinary expenses and the extensive care he received while everyone fought so hard for him.
Please continue to keep the Hubbard family, and everyone who loved Bodhi, in your thoughts right now. This boy was deeply loved, and that love will never end.
Run free, sweet Bodhi. Chase all the squirrels, splash in every river, and know you were loved beyond measure. 🌈🐺✨

Losing a beloved pet like Bodhi is an indescribable pain that many pet owners sadly face. In my own experience, watching a pet endure injury and illness while receiving round-the-clock care taught me just how deep the bond can be between humans and animals. Bodhi’s story of severe nerve damage, infection, and the difficult decision to let go highlights the complexities and emotional toll of veterinary trauma care. Throughout this ordeal, the support from community donations, prayers, and shared hope made a significant difference in managing the extensive medical expenses and emotional strain. It’s important to remember that choosing euthanasia can be a profound act of love, aimed at preventing prolonged suffering when recovery is near impossible. Bodhi’s family's decision to lay him to rest on family land is a beautiful way to honor his memory and keep his spirit close. For anyone going through a similar loss, surrounding yourself with friends, family, and fellow pet lovers can provide comfort. Furthermore, organizing memorials or tributes—like Bodhi’s call to "Run free, chase squirrels, splash in every river"—can help in healing by celebrating the joyous moments and unconditional love shared. Veterinary teams play a crucial role, and their dedication to intensive care, pain management, and consultation is incredible, even when outcomes are heartbreaking. Bodhi’s journey underscores the importance of compassionate care, open communication with medical professionals, and making informed decisions that prioritize the pet’s quality of life. For those interested, supporting causes or direct fundraisers for emergency veterinary care can also honor pets like Bodhi and assist families in need. Remember to cherish every moment with your pets and recognize the immeasurable impact they have on our lives.
