A friend in troublesome times is more precious than any treasure
There is a beautiful gift that the Lord gave to humanity, though subtle, it reflects a graceful compassion that blesses every soul that has ever lived. This gift is that of friendship. However, there are some to which those become so strong they before family. These are special because there is a common event or circumstance that has caused a deeper covenant to form, some overwhelming event to bring them closer together, and through those fires of adversity, the connection endures. This is also why we can call Jesus such a friend, because He endured the most horrific and burdensome event in history for us, and through His blood and taking our place, still calls us to Himself.
Today, remember friends are a blessing, covenant family are made through adverse conditions, and Jesus is both Lord and friend to all who believe.
