day 17 of shred | overate and PUKED

breakfast/lunch: dim sum + kaya toast + egg tart

technically we ate at two places…first some dim sum…then oriental kopi! i didn’t eat much at oriental kopi just 1/4 of a toast and half an egg tart!

dinner: dinner buffet at park royal lime pickering

so i kinda just ate too much? or maybe because i haven’t been eating a lot since my shred started…i ate more than what i usually would yes i enjoyed the food alot, there was a chocolate cake that was so yummy…but once i was done eating i felt like i was going to EXPLODE. i felt like the food was so filled up in me it was in my heart or something (impossible but it’s how i bad i felt 😭) like i was literally so full i couldn’t SPEAK HAHAHA i ended up puking (i think i puked the chocolate cake ngl) and felt a little better but omg i never want to experience this feeling ever again 😭

movement: rest day

i didn’t exercise today 😭 just tried to walk as much as i could

... Read moreOvereating, especially during a diet or shred plan, can really throw you off—physically and mentally. From my experience, it’s easy to underestimate how much your body is dealing with after a period of restriction. Even though I tried to keep portions small earlier in the day, indulging at a buffet led to discomfort and vomiting, which was definitely a wake-up call. One thing I found helpful afterward was to focus on gentle movement and hydration. Walking slowly helped my digestion without putting extra strain on my body. It’s important to listen to these signals—if you feel overly full, stop eating immediately instead of pushing through. Also, don’t beat yourself up; slip-ups can happen, but they’re part of the process. Next time, I plan to pace myself more carefully during meals, especially when faced with tempting spreads like chocolate cake or dim sum. If you’re on a shred or any diet, consider incorporating regular small meals to prevent extreme hunger. That way, you reduce the risk of overeating later. And remember, moderation is key—even at buffets. Lastly, if you feel overwhelmed by fullness, simple tricks like sipping warm water or herbal tea can soothe your stomach. Sharing this to remind others going through similar experiences that it’s okay to stumble, learn, and keep moving forward.
