Many of Prep's high-scoring students shared the IELTS WRITING study experience that you use the SAMPLE rewrite method (i.e. rewrite a high-scoring sample article, once or multiple times) to learn how to reason, think logically, and add good vocabulary and grammar structures.
🐝 3 Steps to Practice Writing with SAMPLE Article Rewriting
✅ Step 1: Read and understand patterns and topics.
In IELTS Writing, there are FAQ formats such as Opinion Essay (Agree / Disagree), Discuss both views, Causes / Effects / Solutions, etc. Once you understand the question format, you will know how the writer uses to paste the plot and answer in the sample article.
✅ Step 2: Write down the terminology and collocation used in the sample article.
Writing vocabulary will increase your vocabulary library on many topics, allowing you to increase your vocabulary score.
✅ Step 3: Learn the grammar used in the sample article.
It should be noted that the use of tense, short sentences, long sentences, and linked sentences in articles. Looking at how to expand in articles gives you an even more interesting perspective.

ถ้าใครเสิร์ชว่า “ฝึก writing ielts” แล้วไม่รู้จะเริ่มยังไง เราว่าวิธีที่เวิร์กสุด (และทำได้ทุกวันแบบไม่ตัน) คือการฝึกจาก Sample คะแนนสูง แต่ทำให้เป็น “ระบบ” มากขึ้น จะช่วยให้พัฒนาคะแนนจริง โดยเฉพาะ Lexical Resource กับ Grammar 1) วางตารางฝึก 7 วัน (ทำสั้นแต่สม่ำเสมอ) - Day 1: อ่าน Sample 1 เรื่องแบบจับโครง (Intro–Body–Conclusion) และวงประโยค Topic sentence ของแต่ละย่อหน้า - Day 2: จด Collocations + topic specific words (เช่น business responsibilities, take accountability, corporate governance) แล้วแต่งประโยคของเราเอง 8–10 ประโยค - Day 3: ลอก “โครง” ไม่ลอก “คำ” เขียนใหม่ด้วยคำของเรา (paraphrase) ให้ได้ 250–290 คำสำหรับ Task 2 - Day 4: โฟกัส Linking devices (however, therefore, in addition, as a result) แล้วเช็กว่าทุกย่อหน้าเชื่อมเหตุผลลื่นไหม - Day 5: โฟกัส Complex structures 5 แบบที่เจอใน Sample (เช่น relative clause, concessive clause, conditionals) แล้วใส่ให้พอดี 3–5 ประโยค - Day 6: เขียนจับเวลา (Task 2 40 นาที / Task 1 20 นาที) เพื่อฝึกให้จบเป็นงานจริง - Day 7: รีวิวข้อผิดพลาดเดิมๆ ทำเป็นลิสต์ “ห้ามพลาด” ของตัวเอง 2) วิธี “เขียนซ้ำ Sample” ที่ไม่กลายเป็นท่องจำ รอบแรกเขียนตาม Sample ได้เลยเพื่อให้มือชินกับ flow และตรรกะการให้เหตุผล แต่รอบสองให้เปลี่ยน 3 อย่าง: (1) เปลี่ยนตัวอย่างประกอบ (2) เปลี่ยนคำเชื่อมบางจุด (3) เปลี่ยนประโยคเปิด/ปิดย่อหน้า วิธีนี้ยังได้ประโยชน์เรื่องโครงสร้างเหมือนเดิม แต่ภาษาเป็นของเราเองมากขึ้น 3) เช็กลิสต์ก่อนส่ง/ก่อนจบเวลา (ลดพลาดแบบเห็นผล) - Task 2: มี “จุดยืน” ชัดตั้งแต่ Intro ไหม (สำหรับ Opinion) - แต่ละ Body paragraph มี 1 main idea + 1–2 supporting ideas + example ไหม - ใช้ collocations ได้ถูกคู่คำไหม (ไม่ใช่แค่คำศัพท์ยาก) - Grammar: ตรวจ tense ให้คงที่, subject-verb agreement, article (a/an/the) โดยเฉพาะคำทั่วไป - Cohesion: อย่าใช้ linking words เยอะเกินจนดูฝืน เลือกเท่าที่จำเป็น 4) ไอเดียเก็บคำศัพท์ให้ใช้ได้จริง เวลาจดจาก Sample อย่าจดเป็นคำโดดๆ ให้จดเป็น “แพ็ก” เช่น - take responsibility for + N - play a vital role in + Ving - lead to / result in + N จากนั้นแต่งประโยคเกี่ยวกับหัวข้อที่ออกบ่อย เช่น education, environment, technology, business responsibilities จะช่วยให้ดึงไปใช้ได้ทันทีตอนสอบ 5) ถ้าอยากวัดพัฒนาการไว ลองเก็บงานเป็น 3 เวอร์ชัน: เวอร์ชันแรก (ก่อนดู Sample), เวอร์ชันฝึกเขียนซ้ำ (ตาม Sample), และเวอร์ชันจับเวลา (จำลองสอบ) แล้วเทียบว่า LR/CC ดีขึ้นตรงไหน เราทำแบบนี้แล้วเห็นชัดมากว่า “การจด collocations + โครงสร้างประโยค” ช่วยดันคะแนนเร็วกว่าอ่านเฉยๆ สุดท้าย ถ้าทำตามนี้ต่อเนื่อง 2–3 สัปดาห์ จะเริ่มรู้สึกว่าไม่กลัวหัวข้อใหม่ เพราะมีคลัง collocations, linking devices และ complex structures จาก Sample ติดตัวอยู่แล้ว ทำให้ฝึก writing ielts ได้เป็นระบบและเขียนลื่นขึ้นจริงๆ
