Pregnancy on Nexplanon birth control

Has anyone has a good experience on nexplanon because mine has been not normal and I’m debating on if i should change bc

October 2023 i got the nexplanon birth control put in a few weeks later i got an infection from it my arm swelled up and was so red i went to the doctor and got some antibiotics they said that this isn’t very common but said it wouldn’t affect the birth control working

I gained a lot of weight from it but not horrible side effects i still had a period every month like normal

March 6 2024 i got a positive pregnancy test i was confused and didn’t believe it 16 tests later i called the doctor she was confused and said in 25 years she hasn’t seen this happen before my progesterone ( a pregnancy hormone that’s vital for a healthy baby) was low from the get go i was on pills to hope it went up but it didn’t

April 10 i found out my baby was dead…i lost the baby it broke me i didn’t know what to do i blamed myself i cried for a week straight (i still cry about it everyday) it’s gotten a little better with time easier to talk about

i don’t love being on bc and feel like i should get off of it but i know if i did i would want to be pregnant so badly i already do but me and my boyfriend aren’t in the best financial situation right now and im still in school so idk what to do i hate the weight i have gained

Many users report common side effects such as weight gain, irregular periods, and in some cases, complications that lead to concerns about pregnancy despite the use of the implant. For individuals who are contemplating a change in birth control or exploring pregnancy while on Nexplanon, it’s essential to have open discussions with healthcare providers. They can provide insights into alternative birth control methods and help manage any side effects. If you're facing emotional hardships, such as a miscarriage or the stress of potential pregnancy while being on Nexplanon, connecting with support groups can offer solace and community understanding. Remember, knowledge and support can empower your decisions regarding reproductive health. Explore forums and discussions surrounding Nexplanon to find shared experiences and advice from individuals who have been in similar situations. I had the nexplanon for 2 cycles (6 years) it was absolutely horrible. I got mine out, did the pill for awhile then switched to another pill to get my period every few months, I then decided I didn’t want to be on anything because of all the side effects and I feel a lot better! My periods have been a lot better too!
