I met my younger self for a matcha

we both arrived on time. Cause that’s how we like it.

she ordered a hot milk. I ordered a matcha.

She told me she wanted to be a mechanical engineer. I told her we did it but we also became a logistic engineer and lifestyle content creator all at once.

She asks if we were able to have a best friend? I tell her, Yes of course we got a sister for life and a hubby who is our best friend too.

She tells me I am hesitant about my outcome. I tell her that we have healed that and now we are trying to build a community filled with love and no envy.

She started to smile. She couldn’t believe it.

I hope we meet again for a matcha.

From Sara with love ❤️

... Read moreAfter that imagined matcha date with my younger self, I couldn't stop thinking about the conversation. It truly felt like a heartwarming moment, a deep dive into how much has changed and how much has stayed the same. When you picture meeting your younger self, it's incredible to reflect on all the twists and turns life takes. My younger self, with her clear vision of becoming a mechanical engineer, would be surprised, but hopefully proud, of the path we eventually carved. While the engineering passion never fully faded – evolving into a logistics engineer role, which was its own challenge and reward – the biggest shift was embracing the creative side as a lifestyle content creator. It wasn’t a straight line, but often, the most fulfilling journeys aren't. Each step taught me resilience and the importance of adapting dreams without losing sight of purpose. It’s about understanding that your passions can manifest in unexpected ways, and sometimes, the best role for you hasn't even been invented yet! And those fears she had about finding a best friend? Oh, I wish I could truly show her the incredible people we’ve welcomed into our lives. Not just a 'best friend,' but a sister for life – someone who understands you without words, through thick and thin. And my hubby, who genuinely became my best friend, partner, and biggest cheerleader. These relationships are the bedrock of what makes life truly rich and full of heartwarming content. They taught me that true connection isn't something you chase, but something you build and nurture with authenticity. The biggest revelation I shared with my younger self was about healing. That hesitancy, those deep-seated doubts about my own worth and capabilities, felt so overwhelming back then. But with time, self-compassion, and a lot of inner work, that healing happened. It wasn't a sudden fix, but a gradual process of understanding my own narrative, forgiving myself, and finding strength in vulnerability. This journey led me to a place where I genuinely want to foster a community – one where kindness trumps competition, and support eradicates envy. It’s about creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and loved, simply for being themselves. So, if you ever find yourself daydreaming about meeting your younger self, take a moment to really connect with her. What dreams did she hold? What fears did she carry? And what heartwarming content would you share about your journey, knowing how far you've come? It’s a powerful exercise in self-love and gratitude, reminding us that every step, every challenge, and every triumph shapes the person we are today. Here's to hoping we all get to have that reflective matcha sometime soon!
