What I love about this dish is how well the flavors come together while still being so simple. Using ground turkey over beef reduces fat content but still provides plenty of protein. Adding fresh spinach introduces a subtle earthiness and adds valuable nutrients without overwhelming the dish. One of the secrets to making this pasta extra satisfying is the sauce made from blending cottage cheese and tomato sauce. It creates a creamy texture that coats the pasta nicely while packing additional protein from the cottage cheese. I recommend using low-fat cottage cheese and a high-quality marinara like Rao's for the best taste. I seasoned the turkey with black pepper, garlic powder, and salt to keep it flavorful but light. Letting the spinach cook down with the turkey also enhances the overall taste. You can easily adjust the seasoning to your preference or add some chili flakes if you like a bit of heat. This recipe works wonderfully for meal prep since it reheats well and maintains its taste. I usually cook the pasta al dente to avoid it getting mushy when reheated. It’s also customizable—feel free to swap spinach for kale or add other veggies like mushrooms or bell peppers. Overall, this high protein turkey and spinach pasta is a balanced, wholesome dish I turn to when I want a filling, nutritious meal without extra calories or guilt. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or anyone focused on healthy eating and muscle building.
