The feeling of reading 🥲
I've seen reviews before that when reading may be frustrated with the heroine, and the story of the first volume seems to keep going a little slowly, but for us it keeps going too much, too slow, and the heroine makes us feel a little less insensitive to the story that happens in the story. It is more advanced than that of the beautiful Disney princess. As anyone says, there is a strange kind of courage, not very witty, not very smart. The hero carries a very heavy storyline, and the heroine secretly looks like a good problem. The story secretly has a little bit of a corner, but still not much to follow. For us, the fantasy scene seems to keep going like the fantasy movie that has been watched. Imagination is not difficult. But it wasn't very grand.

We were secretly expecting a lot, so maybe we were too disappointed, or maybe because we were too old to read young adult novels, and I've seen people say that being patient with the first volume, Volumes 2-3, would be a lot of fun, even if we didn't get this DNF, but we didn't want to go on with this series.

หลังจากได้อ่าน Once Upon a Broken Heart แล้ว ผมรู้สึกว่านิยายเล่มนี้นำเสนอโลกแฟนตาซีที่ไม่เหมือนใคร โดยเฉพาะการผสมผสานเรื่องราวของเทพเจ้าและมนุษย์เข้าด้วยกันอย่างน่าสนใจ โดยตัวเอกอย่างอิวานเจลีนที่เชื่อในรักแท้แต่ต้องเจอกับการอกหักนั้น สะท้อนความรู้สึกของคนที่เคยผิดหวังในความรักได้อย่างชัดเจน แม้ว่าจะมีบางช่วงของเนื้อเรื่องที่เดินช้าหรือเล่าด้วยความเรื่อยๆ แต่ก็นับว่าวางโครงเรื่องเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้เล่มต่อไปมีพัฒนาการมากขึ้น อย่างไรก็ตาม สิ่งที่ผมชอบมากคือการบรรยายฉากแฟนตาซีและการสร้างบรรยากาศที่ทำให้จินตนาการไหลลื่น ทำให้รู้สึกเหมือนกำลังเดินทางท่องแดนเหนือแห่งเวทมนตร์จริงๆ นอกจากนี้ สัญญาที่อิวานเจลีนทำกับเจ้าชายแจ็กซ์ที่แลกจุมพิต 3 ครั้งและผลกระทบที่ตามมายังสร้างความตึงเครียดและความลึกลับในเรื่องได้ดี การที่คนทั้งงานกลายเป็นหินนั้นเป็นกิมมิคที่น่าสนใจ เพิ่มความซับซ้อนให้กับเรื่องรักที่ไม่ได้ง่ายอย่างที่คิด การที่อิวานเจลีนต้องเข้าไปพัวพันกับเหล่าเทพและชะตากรรมที่เปลี่ยนชีวิตเธอ เป็นจุดขายที่ทำให้นิยายเล่มนี้มีเอกลักษณ์ แม้บทบาทนางเอกบางครั้งอาจดูโลกสวยเกินไปจนทำให้คนอ่านรู้สึกหงุดหงิด แต่ก็เป็นเสน่ห์ที่ทำให้นิยายแนว Young Adult มีสีสันและความรู้สึกหลากหลายได้ดี สำหรับใครที่ชอบนิยายแฟนตาซีผสมโรแมนติกที่เต็มไปด้วยจินตนาการและบรรยากาศเทพนิยายเล่มนี้ก็น่าจะเหมาะกับการเปิดอ่านเพื่อสัมผัสหัวใจที่สลายพร้อมกับหวังถึงการเริ่มต้นเล่มต่อไปที่อาจเต็มไปด้วยความตื่นเต้นและจุดพลิกผันที่น่าสนใจมากขึ้น
