✨ Made n His Image: Finding Myself Again in Christ

This series was birthed out of a very real, very recent season where I lost myself…

In a relationship.

In people’s opinions.

In who I thought I had to be.

I started carrying shame that didn’t belong to me, and believing lies about who I was and what I was worth.

Recently, I went back to the basics and reconnected spiritually.

And God started reminding me that my identity isn’t found in people, relationships, or society’s standards.

It’s found in Him—and it’s rooted in truth.

As I work through rediscovering who I am, I’ve been creating these little slide decks for myself.

And honestly… I felt like maybe they could help someone else too.

So here’s Day 2 of 50.

I’ve got 50 scriptures to explore on the topic of identity in Christ.

This is the beginning of that journey.

Genesis 1:26–27 reminded me that I was made on purpose.

In the image of a perfect God.

Not culture. Not opinions. Not performance.

I reflect Him.

Before the world had a chance to label me, God already spoke identity over me.

So today, I’m choosing to stop chasing worth and start walking in what He already said.

📖 Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27

🗣️ Affirmation: I reflect God’s beauty, creativity and strength.

💭 Question for You:

What’s one false identity or standard you’re letting go of today?

🔁 🔖 Save this to come back to on the days you forget who you are.

💬 Comment “His Image” if you’re choosing to walk in that truth today.

👣 Follow along as we keep uncovering who we are in Christ—day by day.

... Read moreMany of us struggle with defining our identity amid the noise of societal expectations, relationships, and internal doubts. The experience shared here about finding identity in Christ through Genesis 1:26–27 offers a profound reminder that our worth and purpose are intentionally designed by God, not shaped by external influences. This truth can transform how we see ourselves daily. Understanding that we are made in God's image means recognizing that our value comes from reflecting His attributes—beauty, creativity, strength, love, patience, forgiveness, kindness, and faithfulness. When we internalize this, we stop striving to earn worth through performance or approval from others and instead walk confidently in the identity God has already given. Practicing affirmations such as "I reflect God's beauty and strength" helps renew our minds and replace negative self-talk with divine truth. It's essential to confront and release false identities or standards that society or personal experiences impose, allowing God's voice to be louder than any lies. A useful practical step is creating daily reminders—like slide decks or journaling scriptures—to keep these truths at the forefront, especially on challenging days. Engaging in prayer, such as asking God to help silence critical thoughts and affirming your value in Him, fosters spiritual healing and growth. This journey is not just for individuals who feel lost but for anyone seeking a deeper, faith-based understanding of self-worth. It invites ongoing reflection and community support, shown by prompts to share experiences or commitments with others, like commenting "His Image" or following hashtags centered on identity in Christ and faith healing. Overall, embracing that you are 'made on purpose' in God's image liberates you from the pressures to conform and empowers you to live authentically and confidently as His beloved creation. This 50-day exploration serves as a meaningful guide to renew your identity daily through scripture and faith.
