Finding Myself Again in Christ

✨ Who I Am in Christ: Fixing My Identity Crisis Through Truth ✝️

This series was birthed out of a very real, very recent season where I lost myself…

In a relationship.

In people’s opinions.

In who I thought I had to be.

I started carrying shame that didn’t belong to me, and believing lies about who I was and what I was worth.

Recently, I went back to the basics and reconnected spiritually.

And God started reminding me that my identity isn’t found in people, relationships, or society’s standards.

It’s found in Him and it’s rooted in truth.

As I work through rediscovering who I am, I’ve been creating these little slide decks for myself.

And honestly… I felt like maybe they could help someone else too.

So here’s Day 1 of 50.

I’ve got 50 scriptures to explore on the topic of identity in Christ.

This is the beginning of that journey.

Romans 8:1 reminded me that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

That includes me.

That includes you.

If God says I’m not condemned, I have no business condemning myself.

So I’m choosing to let go of shame and walk in who He says I am—free.

📖 Scripture: Romans 8:1–2

🗣️ Affirmation: I am not condemned. I am covered in grace.

💭 Question for You:

What’s something you’re releasing that God already set you free from?

🔁 Save this if you needed the reminder

💬 Comment “FREE” if this spoke to you

👣 Follow for all 50 days of truth, healing, and real identity.

... Read moreEmbarking on a journey to rediscover your identity in Christ can be both deeply personal and widely impactful. The scriptural affirmation from Romans 8:1-2 reminds believers that there is no condemnation for those who live according to the Spirit of Christ Jesus. This powerful truth encourages us to release shame, guilt, and negative self-perceptions that often stem from past mistakes or societal pressures. Many Christians find themselves trapped in self-condemnation, feeling unworthy due to flaws or failures. However, embracing the fact that Christ’s sacrifice covers all shortcomings allows us to stop holding ourselves hostage to our past. This grace is not just a theological concept but a lived reality that empowers believers to walk freely and confidently in their God-given identity. In practical terms, this freedom means replacing old narratives of inadequacy with daily affirmations rooted in biblical truths. Speaking phrases like "I am not condemned" and "I am covered in grace" can transform mindset and self-image. It’s important to remember that spiritual growth and transformation are ongoing processes. God does not wait for us to be perfect before He uses us; He works through us as He molds and shapes our character. Moreover, this journey of identity restoration often involves forgiveness—both of oneself and others. Letting go of bitterness and guilt is crucial in walking fully in the freedom Christ provides. Prayer is a powerful tool in this process, allowing believers to confess burdens and receive God’s peace and renewed strength. Community can also play a vital role. Sharing struggles and victories with faithful friends or groups can offer encouragement and accountability. The hashtags like #identityinchrist, #healingthroughchrist, and #faithjourney emphasize the shared experience among Christian women and all believers seeking healing and assurance in their faith. Ultimately, walking in who God says you are means living from a foundation of truth, not feelings or external validation. It means knowing your worth is defined by God’s love and grace rather than by past mistakes or others’ opinions. Starting with one scripture a day, like the author’s Day 1 focus on Romans 8:1-2, can be a meaningful way to cultivate this mindset and continually renew your spirit throughout the 50-day journey and beyond.
