How to Get Soft Smooth Skin Shower Routine🤍✨

Regular exfoliation has helped me maintain overall soft, smooth skin. But just rubbing a scrub all over my body just isn’t enough so here’s my exact routine:

1. As with everything you need to start off with a clean base and as someone with oily skin, antibacterial soap is what I use first as my base cleanse. It gets rid of all my excess oil and cleans my skin, leaving it ready to go for whatever’s coming next.

2. For my chest and back this KP scrub exfoliates all of my dead skin and addresses any acne I may have. For the body any one of my many scrubs will do, however, sugar scrubs give me more of deeper exfoliation.

3. Last but not least, my daily body wash. I also use this to further exfoliate what was missed by the scrub. It’s formulated with glycolic acid, a chemical exfoliant, buttttt it’s gentle enough for daily use. It doesn’t burn my skin, cause excessive dryness, or over exfoliate.

And this is how I regularly maintain soft, smooth skin!

Starting with an antibacterial soap that targets excess oil, like Dettol or Dial deodorant bar soaps, really prepares my skin by deeply cleansing and removing surface dirt and sweat, which allows exfoliants to work better. For areas prone to acne such as the chest and back, I’ve found KPBody Scrub & Mask particularly effective. It contains a blend of chemical exfoliants like glycolic acid (AHA), salicylic acid (BHA), and polyhydroxy acids (PHA) combined with jojoba esters which exfoliate dead skin cells gently without irritation or dryness, making it safe for frequent use. This helps control breakouts while smoothing the skin texture. I use different scrubs for the rest of my body; sugar-based scrubs such as those from brands like Tree Hut and Dr. Teal’s provide a deeper exfoliation and leave my skin feeling nourished thanks to natural oils like coconut oil and shea butter. Finally, finishing the shower routine with a glycolic acid-containing body wash like Naturium's The Smoother has transformed my skin’s surface. The 5% glycolic acid with added lactic acid resurfaces skin by removing any residual dead cells and promoting cell renewal, ensuring there are no patches of dullness left behind. It’s gentle enough for daily use, which is crucial as over-exfoliating can cause redness and dryness. Adding this multi-step exfoliation approach to my skincare regimen has made a noticeable difference in skin softness, smoothness, and overall health. I recommend trying to tailor products to your skin type and being consistent with gentle exfoliation for the best long-term results.
