Before knowing Christ, we chose abortion.

I, Glenda, even encouraged others to do the same. I didn’t do it out of willful rebellion. It was a decision made from a place of ignorance of my Creator and now Lord and savior.

God confronted the sin in us without shaming us.

He embraced us with forgiveness, not condemnation and set us free in Christ…

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1-2 ESV‬‬

… and encouraged us to forgive ourselves, and to take action towards obedience of His word without rehearsing wounds, for breakthroughs and healing.

Then, what the enemy meant for evil, God has repurposed for good!

Our former negative influence toward death, is now influence for life and purpose into His kingdom.

“Do you want to be made well?” John 5:8

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden sin or coping mechanism masquerading as rebellion.

When conviction comes, immediately receive Christ’s forgiveness and refuse self-shaming talk.

Replace endless venting with intentional listening and spend quiet time in Scripture and prayer, as you wait for Jesus’ next instruction.

Act on what you hear by taking one concrete step (“pick up your mat” John 5) in faith toward obedience this week.

Consider accountability from a trusted mentor, coach, or mature believer to support consistent follow-through.

We’re here for it! We’re here for you!

We share about this in detail in this week’s YouTube livestream and prayed for you, if this apply to you.

Part 2: Venting vs. Listening

Part 3: Picking Up Your Mat

Part 4: Walking It Out / Daily Obedience

Don’t let anyone condemn you, seek Christ to walk in freedom and let God bless your day 🙏🏽💕

... Read moreMany who have faced the difficult experience of abortion often struggle with feelings of guilt and condemnation. However, it is important to recognize that true healing begins when we allow God’s forgiveness to replace shame. The journey towards restoration often involves confronting hidden wounds that may impact both mental and physical health, as noted by experiences shared among believers. It’s encouraging to realize that breakthroughs can stall not because of failure, but because certain hidden areas remain unexposed. In this process, asking Jesus the question, "Do you want to be made well?" is powerful—it opens the door for God's healing to enter our lives. Seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance can reveal coping mechanisms or sins that were adopted out of survival rather than defiance. Embracing God’s grace means learning to forgive ourselves and resisting the temptation to dwell on past mistakes or self-shaming thoughts. Practically, replacing destructive venting with intentional listening and spending quiet time in Scripture and prayer helps deepen our connection to God. Taking small, concrete steps in faith, such as "picking up your mat" as Jesus instructs, encourages obedience and growth. It’s also valuable to find accountability through trusted mentors or mature believers who can support consistent spiritual progress. By shifting focus from condemnation to redemption, individuals can transform what was once a source of darkness into a testimony of God’s kingdom and purpose. Remember, awareness is indeed a doorway to deliverance, and the journey towards healing is personal but never solitary. Encouragement and community play essential roles, as does the unwavering assurance that God desires complete freedom and restoration for everyone willing to seek Him.
