Book Review: People We Meet on Vacation

I couldn't help but feel a little regretful for Poppy and Alex. It always seemed obvious that they like each other, but every time they held themselves back.Their conversations and banter were my favourite part of the book—they were witty, and effortless.

As the story progressed, I realised their close friendship was affecting their relationships with their own partners. Part of me blamed Alex and Poppy for not acknowledging their feelings sooner, but another part understood that accepting those feelings wasn't easy. Sometimes I also make choices that don't reflect what my hearts truly want.

The story felt a little draggy with all the flashbacks. The author kept teasing what happened two years ago but took a long time to finally reveal it. Still, I really enjoyed Poppy and Alex's dynamic.
