How to take FULL-PAGE screenshots✨

Did you know that you can take a screenshot of an entire webpage in Safari?😊 it’s very easy, just follow this quick step-by-step tutorial.

If you crop the screenshot you get 2 saving options (Photos or Files). However if you want the full page you can only save it in PDF to Files app.

... Read moreI used to dread needing a full webpage screenshot. You know, those moments when you're trying to save a detailed recipe, a long article with fascinating insights, or even compare product specifications like different iPhone models? I'd end up taking what felt like a dozen partial screenshots, trying to stitch them together later – a total nightmare! But then I stumbled upon this incredible built-in iOS feature that literally changed my digital life. It's right there in Safari, and it lets you capture an entire scrollable webpage as a single, neat PDF. Seriously, it’s a game-changer for anyone who loves to save information. The basic steps are quick, but there are a few nuances I've learned that make it even smoother. After you take your initial screenshot (Volume Up + Side Button on newer iPhones), don't just tap 'Done' right away! Instead, tap the thumbnail that appears in the bottom-left corner. This opens the screenshot editing interface. This is where the magic happens! Look at the top, and you’ll see two options: 'Screen' and 'Full Page'. This is what one of the images clearly shows – the difference between your current partial view and the extended, full-page view. Selecting the 'Full Page' option will instantly transform your screenshot into a scrollable, complete capture of the entire webpage content, even those lengthy product specifications you were eyeing! Once you have your full-page view, you can scroll through it to make sure everything looks perfect. Then, tap 'Done' and you'll get the critical prompt: 'Save PDF to Files'. This is a key difference from saving to your Photos app, as full-page captures on iOS are saved as PDFs. I personally love this because PDFs are incredibly versatile. They're easy to share, they preserve the original formatting perfectly, and the text within them is often searchable. Imagine saving a comprehensive travel guide or a complex tutorial – you can search for keywords within the PDF later! This feature is a lifesaver for research, saving recipes without ads, or collecting information for projects. It also beautifully solves the problem of needing to compare information or gather details that would normally span across multiple partial 'between app screenshots'. Instead of piecing together bits and pieces, you get one complete document. I always save mine into a specific folder in the Files app, and often rename them right away for better organization. You can even use the Markup tools on the PDF if you want to highlight important sections or add notes before saving. It’s a powerful tool that’s often overlooked, but once you start using it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it!
