Elephant balls lost in the herd, found albino buffalo
On December 2, 2025, the Royal Wildlife Conservation Service has been notified that a wild elephant has strayed from a headland while wandering in the Tawira Forest area, Group 9, Chorea House, Phra Phra Phra Phra District, Khao Bok District, Glass Pool Province, having been found at about 5: 42 p.m. amid concerns by locals who fear that the elephant may be in danger of being alone or may be alarmed to run into the community area.
After preliminary inspection, officials found the baby elephant in a slightly weakened state, but also responsive, with no wounds or signs of assault, before planning to push and guide the baby elephant back to an area expected to be the transit route of the previous Great Elephant Methong, which is in the "Kookan Elephant" area, a buffer zone used to control the movement of wild elephants.
Through systematic coordination, conservation officials, patrol teams, and local residents have joined forces to reduce the risk of elephants walking back into dangerous areas, preventing pets or commuters from approaching at a distance where they may cause panic.
In time, the authorities were able to guide the baby elephant so far away that it found a wild elephant headbutt and the baby was smoothly reintegrated into the herd. It was good news to both the staff and the villagers in the area.
According to the final review, the baby elephant is safe, unscathed, and fully able to reenter the herd. Officials will continue to monitor the rubber grove forest seam area and the Kookan Elephant Line to prevent repeated stragglers and reduce the risk of man-elephant conflict in the able-bodied horn district area that occurs frequently during the wild elephant's tricky season.
