The National Park Service sought to clarify the understanding of the public and wildlife lovers on the following issues:

1. The welfare of "Glass Color" is the highest priority. The National Park Service confirms that the welfare of Glass Color. For the chaining cases that appear in the media, it is only a "temporary procedure" for the first few days to wait for the elephant to recover from seepage and for the veterinary team to safely check in. When the physical condition is stable, the authorities will immediately disengage the chain to release it into the Engineering Standard Behavior Adjustment Stocks, which are strong, safe and spacious enough space for recovery and behavior. With the veterinary team and the elephant quarantine closely supervised 24 hours a day.

2. We understand the love and concern of the people in the afflicted area. We also want to sympathize with the brothers and sisters of the people in the Mahathawan area. All the time, the glass color has been moved back into the forest no less than 7 times, every time it has escaped back into the community area. The villagers have to live on risk and paranoia. Because the glass color is highly intelligent and has a tricky behavior in the community area, often approach the community for food, destroy property, barn, and cause harmful copycat behavior. This move is not a detention.

Instead, it is to "protect all life" to reduce confrontation and prevent violent accidents that can lead to loss to both lives, people and the elephant itself.

3. Surveillance Series Volunteers work hard to ensure the safety of all parties. Behind the mission is the selfless devotion of the Surveillance Series officers and volunteers who have to work hard in the midst of high risk 24 / 7. The fatigue of officers facing wild elephants. The only goal is to deter losses. As a result of constant hard work, damage and death statistics for both people and wildlife have been greatly reduced in recent times.

4. The number of dead / injured by wild elephants from 2012 to present has been 274 killed, 252 injured and 260 wild elephants have been killed and 95 injured (2012 to present).

For fiscal year 2026, seven people were killed, 16 injured, 16 wild elephants were killed and 8 injured.

5. The final goal is to return the "glass color" to the complete forest. The National Park Service does not aim to keep the glass color in the center for life, but to enter the process of restoring the academic wildlife instinct. If the health and behavior assessment is in the right criteria, we are prepared to return the glass color to the natural forest in deep forest areas that are safe and remote from the community.
