Sharing my journey of losing weight has been one of the most vulnerable experiences I've had, but also incredibly empowering. Starting at 350 pounds, the road to 189 so far hasn't been easy—there were days filled with doubt and moments when progress felt slow. What kept me going was setting small, achievable goals rather than focusing only on the big picture. I discovered that tracking progress visually and celebrating mini milestones really helped maintain motivation. Additionally, embracing workouts that I enjoyed made committing to exercise more sustainable—whether it was walking, dancing, or strength training. Nutrition changes were equally crucial; instead of extreme dieting, I focused on balanced, nourishing meals that fueled my body. It's important to acknowledge that weight loss isn’t just physical; it’s mental and emotional too. Overcoming fears around sharing my story on social media meant connecting with others who understood, which provided much-needed support.
