Not confident in the gym? Do these FIVE things!

Confidence is EVERYTHING and can play a huge role in getting yourself to the gym and through a workout!

Here are FIVE things that will help you gain more confidence in the gym!

1) Wear something you are comfortable in and something that makes you feel good. Treat the gym as a fashion show if you must.. look good, feel good, lift good! Personally, each day for me differs.. sometimes I'm in sweatpants and a big tee shirts and other days I'm in shorts and a sports bra. Wear what YOU feel good in 💙

2) Go in with a plan! I cannot stress this enough, knowing what muscle group you are going to train and what movements you are going to do eliminates all the unknowns before you even walk through the door. I recommend downloading an app, brining a notebook, or making a plan in your phones notes app (I'll be posting my split soon, so stay tuned for some guidance!)

3) Remember your "why". Having a reason for the gym can help boost your confidence for the reason you're there. Are you aiming to lose weight, gain muscles, work on your flexablitiy, recover from an injury? There are so many reasons people go to the gym, define your "why" and allow that to drive you!

4) Become knowledgeable on the exercises! Having confidence in your form and how you are performing each exercise allows for a huge boost in confidence. I recommend looking the exercise up if it is new to you, asking a team member at the gym for a demonstration, or finding a reliable source on the internet who you trust and that explains exercises well with form cues!

5) Take it one workout at a time! You cannot rush the process, all you can do is show up everyday and give it your all. Do not focus on what tomorrows workout will hold. Be in the present and focus on what you can control during each workout. One workout at a time, one set at a time, one rep at a time.

You are a beautiful, strong, baddie.. go walk in the gym like one 💅🏻

... Read moreGaining confidence in the gym is essential for both fitness beginners and seasoned gym-goers. One effective way to boost your confidence is by adopting a positive mindset. Visualize your success before you step into the gym. This mental preparation can significantly enhance your performance. Additionally, joining a workout class or finding a gym buddy can offer both motivation and support, making your gym sessions more enjoyable and less intimidating. Moreover, regular practice of mindfulness or breathing techniques before workouts can help reduce anxiety and foster a sense of calm, allowing you to focus on your own fitness journey. It's also crucial to celebrate your small victories. Whether it's lifting a heavier weight, completing a workout without breaks, or simply showing up, recognizing these milestones can encourage you to keep pushing forward. Lastly, remember that everyone at the gym is on their own journey, so it's important not to compare yourself to others. Embrace your unique path to fitness, and let confidence lead you to success in every workout!
