Here are a few anime shows I enjoyed and finished (there’s more). I don’t really have a genre when it comes to anime. I do have more to watch and catch up though 😁
... Read moreYou know, sometimes you just need a good anime to binge, and I've found some absolute gems! My taste is pretty eclectic, but each of these left a special mark on me.
Spy x Family is a must-watch! The dynamic between Loid, Yor, and the adorable Anya Forger is just pure perfection. It's a fantastic blend of action, spy thrills, and heartwarming family comedy that never fails to make me smile.
Then there’s Jujutsu Kaisen. Talk about thrilling! The fight scenes are absolutely incredible, and characters like Yuji Itadori and the iconic Satoru Gojo make every episode a high-octane experience. It’s dark, intense, and seriously addictive.
Fruits Basket is a beautiful emotional journey. The story of Tohru Honda and the Sohma family, including Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure, is so poignant and uplifting. It genuinely explores themes of acceptance and healing, making you feel deeply for every single character.
And for a good laugh, Konosuba! is pure comedic gold. Kazuma, Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin form the most dysfunctional but hilarious party ever. I literally found myself bursting out laughing at their antics – it's an Isekai that perfectly parodies the genre.
Now, let's talk about Spice & Wolf. This one is truly special, and if you haven't seen it, you're missing out! The unique blend of economic themes and folklore, centered around the merchant Lawrence and his companion, Holo, the Wise Wolf, is captivating. Holo herself is an unforgettable character; her sharp wit, occasional childlike wonder, and those incredible, knowing smiles are just perfect. I remember countless close-up shots of her expressive face, often with that iconic playful smile, which perfectly captures her complex and charming personality. It’s a masterful blend of adventure, romance, and intellectual sparring that keeps you engaged.
Snow White with The Red Hair was another lovely surprise. The romance between Shirayuki and Zen Wistaria is so wholesome and inspiring, focusing on their individual strengths and mutual respect.
And who could forget Tokyo Ghoul? The initial seasons were so gripping, exploring Kaneki's transformation and the moral ambiguities of the ghoul world. The characters, including those from Tokyo Ghoul:re like Haise Sasaki, really make you think about humanity and monsters.
Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina offers such a beautiful, episodic adventure. Elaina's travels through different lands and her encounters with various people and their stories are enchanting and thought-provoking.
Finally, shoutouts to After School Dice Club for being a cozy, feel-good anime about board games and friendship, and By The Grace of Gods for being such a relaxing Isekai with adorable slimes and a truly kind protagonist, Ryoma Takebayashi.
There are so many more I could talk about, but these are definitely some of my top recommendations if you're looking for something new to watch! Happy binging!
