Last stop!

Our last stop on the way home was Glass Beach which was so pretty. I loved the sounds that the glass made when the waves washed over it 🌊 The beautiful little guys covered every little crevasse in the cliffs which I thought was so freaking pretty🤍

I will say it is so hard to find this little cove, when you park there is a little map that shows you where to go and says to the left and down the stairs… there are no stairs to be seen, everyone was trying to find these stairs and ending up just climbing down on places that looked like trails. It worked but if anyone is looking to go to MacKerricher State Park don’t go looking for a safe set of stairs to go down there aren’t any🤣

The small glass pebbles, shaped by years of ocean waves, create a mesmerizing auditory experience when they clink together. This hidden gem not only captures the hearts of beachcombers but also provides an excellent backdrop for nature lovers and photographers alike. While the beauty of Glass Beach is undeniable, reaching the location can be a bit tricky. Visitors should note that clear signage is limited, often leaving explorers to find their own way down the cliffs. Those venturing from MacKerricher State Park are advised to bring comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven. Take caution when climbing, as reliable stairways are not available. It's advisable to follow well-trodden paths and respect the natural habitat. In addition to its striking beauty, Glass Beach offers various activities for adventure seekers, including hiking along the scenic cliffs, birdwatching, and capturing breathtaking sunsets. If you're planning a visit, remember to check tide schedules to ensure the best experience. Finally, appreciate the ecological sensitivity surrounding the area by collecting only memories and avoiding the collection of beach glass, as it contributes to the ongoing beauty of this natural wonder.
