Artists I’ve seen in concert + my experience
Hi cuties!! So going to see concerts is one of my biggest passions in life and I’m so so blessed and grateful to get to attend to many! I’ve already made a post about raves I’ve attended a while back, so I thought I’d make one about the other general music artists I’ve seen!
I saw Selena Gomez when I was super young at the New York State Fair with my mom when she was still with her band (Selena Gomez + The Scene), and then again in Canada with my mom and a friend from elementary school and she definitely puts on an amazing show! The meet and greet was definitely cool and she was so much shorter than I thought she’d be, but it was very quick! I also had the privilege of seeing Christina Grimmie open for her both times before the tragedy occurred in Orlando where she lost her life to a crazed stalker. Super talented and sweet, it makes me so sad because she could’ve gone so far.
I am SO incredibly thankful that I got to see one direction before they broke up! I just remember screaming and completely fangirling the whole time (I was pretty young) but I remember it being a really good show!! I also saw the end of 5SOS’s opening performance (since me, my mom, and my friends and their moms were a bit late getting there due to Boston traffic) which turned me into a fan for a bit!! Super great voices live.
I saw Taylor Swift for the first time when I was younger on her Red tour with Ed Sheeran as an opener, and it was a PHENOMENAL show!! Again, I was super young but I have super fond memories, other than difficulties seeing due to my age/height and being seated in the middle of the floor section. I was also fortunate enough to score tickets to the Eras tour last summer and it was THEE BEST SHOW IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! As a huge Swiftie, I may be a bit biased but I would recommend seeing her to absolutely anyone who has the chance/ability! To be honest, I wasn’t fond of Gracie’s opening performance, but this could’ve also been because I didn’t know any of her songs. I really enjoyed the girl in red opener, I just wish she would’ve sang more songs but it felt so fulfilling to scream songs about loving women in a crowd of thousands.
I saw Jason Derulo at a free concert at New York State fair when I was younger, and I remember him going a lot of dancing and putting on a pretty decent show!
I saw Bruno mars in my early teens with my mama since he’s her absolute favorite singer in the world, and he most definitely had the voice of a star! I also really enjoyed the opening performers.
In my teens, I went through a really long Twenty One Pilots phase as I related to a lot of their lyrics. I saw them for the first time on their blurry face tour in Canada, then again in Albany, and finally in Boston and these were probably my second overall favorite shows I’ve seen. They put on such a phenomal show!!
