Has BC Ever Helped Regulate Your Cycle ?
My cycles were irregular for yearssss before I started paying attention to it. By irregular I mean like wasn’t coming on at all sometimes. Sometimes I’ll spot 2days then it’ll be nothing the 3rd day, the spotting would be so light I didn’t even have to wear a panty liner or pad, I knew I was spotting when I use the rest room and wiped . I have no issues, no cyst, no pcos, nothing, so I’m like well y is my period not coming on !?
Bc was my drs 1st suggestion but I never been on bc before, I’m 31, I don’t have any kids yet but I do want some one day so I tried 2 prescriptions called clomid and progesterone. It helped a little my periods where coming on but they were like 40+ days apart, and sometimes they didn’t come on at all .
So I was like ok, let me try bc because I’m not really having sex right now lol I don’t like nobody lol and I’m not trying to have kids right now lol so y not ! Long story short ! I’ve been taking the bc I Wna say almost a year now . And my periods have been on track every month , like I can literally feel when my period is about to come on now …
I’ll probably stop taking them maybe in a couple months to see if my cycles comes on w/o the bc .
Do you have irregular cycles ? Did bc help ? Or what did you try ?

Irregular menstrual cycles can be a concern for many women, leading them to seek medical advice on solutions. Birth control (BC) is often a first-line suggestion due to its effectiveness in regulating cycles. Hormonal contraceptives help maintain a consistent schedule for periods by delivering synthetic hormones that mimic natural hormonal fluctuations. Additionally, while medications like Clomid and progesterone can assist in inducing menstruation, their outcomes may vary significantly from one individual to another. It's critical to consult with a healthcare provider to find the most suitable method for your specific needs. For readers exploring the impact of birth control, it's essential to consider lifestyle factors, such as stress and diet, which also play crucial roles in menstrual health. Engaging with user communities and forums can provide valuable insights and support as one navigates these challenges. If you have found unexplained irregularities in your cycle, understanding all options—medical and lifestyle—can help empower your choices moving forward. Taking a proactive approach to menstrual health can unearth underlying issues that may need addressing, such as hormonal imbalances or lifestyle changes. Ultimately, choices regarding menstrual regulation are personal and should be made with careful consideration of one's health goals.

It doesn’t regulate them . It suppresses your ovaries . It gives you a “fake” period . That’s why a lot of us women end up with PCOS .
