The "Unproductive" Sunday I actually needed ☁️🩹

Consistency post 25/31: Let me just say happy to be 25 days in!

I see red! And this bull was angry with pain! But Demon Slayer got me in these breathing techniques you see and I find my calm in this🥀😁😆

No but real talk Day 1 of my cycle hit me hard. I spent today in bed with my heating pad, pain meds, and a Demon Slayer marathon. I felt 'unproductive' at first, but then I realized: Rest is part of the alignment.

I flew through the Swordsmith Village Arc (finally caught up!) and just let my body heal. Tomorrow is a new day, but today was for recovery. I'm ready for the movie trilogy!

Sending love to all my girls who deal with those 'Day 1' blues. We’re still great women even when we’re resting. Listen to your body and pick back up where you left off and do a little extra on your great days where your weak ones won't feel so bad. I know where I'm headed I got this every day will not be great just keep going 🧡🌿

... Read moreLiving through the first day of my menstrual cycle often feels like battling an uphill struggle, both physically and emotionally. The cramps are sharp, energy dips low, and productivity feels miles away. Over time, I've realized that accepting this unproductive day as essential recovery rather than failure is transformative for my mental health. This Sunday, I embraced this truth while re-watching the Swordsmith Village Arc from Demon Slayer, where the breathing techniques gave me unexpected calm amid pain. Using a heating pad combined with Midol helped me manage the physical discomfort, making rest more bearable. I also found that pacing myself and giving extra effort on my strongest days helps balance out the weeks when my energy plummets. Listening to your body and redefining what a 'productive day' means is key — sometimes, healing and alignment is the real achievement. For anyone navigating those tough 'Day 1' blues, know you are not alone. Approaching self-care with kindness, patience, and practical tools like pain meds, heat, and mindful breathing can change how you experience your cycle. This way, even an 'unproductive' Sunday becomes a vital part of your overall wellness journey, setting the stage for better days ahead.
