I WASN’T LOOKING FOR LOVE

Love can often surprise us when we least expect it. From my experience, it’s not always about searching or forcing connections but about embracing moments of peace and authenticity. Meeting someone like Bunny, who also wasn’t looking for a relationship, showed me how powerful calm energy and honesty can be in building a bond. One thing I learned is that love isn’t always loud or flashy—it can be soft, solid, and built on small but meaningful acts of service. It’s these genuine gestures that create a foundation stronger than any grand romantic gesture. Being part of an interracial queer couple added layers of understanding and growth. It’s like navigating multiple worlds and identities but choosing love and healing as the guide. Our project, THE BLACK BITE™, became more than a creative outlet; it’s our love story in motion, a playground where passion meets partnership.
