Self-toss hitting is another vital drill where you can engage in a three-step approach before striking the ball, allowing you to target various positions on the court. Serving should also be a focus; practice different types of serves such as standing topspin and jump float, and aim for specific spots on the court. To enhance your vertical jump, incorporate plyometrics and blocking transitions into your routine. These exercises are designed to strengthen your legs and improve on-court agility, crucial for effective gameplay. By dedicating time to these drills during the summer, you can significantly improve your skills and confidence, ensuring you’re ready for the competitive season ahead.
