A glimpse into my classroom ✨🌼🌟📔 #teacher #thirdgradeteacher #classroom #vlog #morningvlog
Starting my day as a third grade teacher involves a mix of organization, creativity, and a touch of personal flair. Each morning, I begin by turning on my warm classroom lighting, which instantly creates a welcoming and cozy environment for my students. This simple action sets a positive tone for the day and makes both me and my students feel safe and comfortable. I make sure to unpack all the essential materials like lip gloss and glasses, which might seem minor but add a bit of personality to my routine and help me feel ready and confident. Setting up my tech, including displaying slides on our classroom projector, is another critical step—it ensures the day’s lessons like math and vocabulary words are ready to go. I’m particularly focused on resetting our vocabulary words of the week, which keeps language skills fresh and engaging. One of my favorite parts is updating the flip calendar to keep track of days and special events. It’s a visual reminder for students of what to expect and creates a shared rhythm in the classroom. My morning meetings and reading sessions, such as ELA and Read 180, help build a supportive learning community where every student feels valued, whether they are working on fractions or exploring new vocabulary. Beyond the preparations, I always take a moment to reflect on what I’m thankful for—honesty, friendship, caring, and being brave are qualities I foster in myself and my students. Recognizing these qualities helps me stay positive and encourages my class to embrace their own strengths. Creating a vibrant and efficient classroom space takes effort, but it’s rewarding to see students engaged and ready to learn. Sharing this glimpse into my teaching routine reminds me (and hopefully others) of the joy and impact of being an educator.
