They thrive on companionship, which makes them perfect candidates for indoor living. My Cavapoo spends most of his time indoors, happily exploring every nook and cranny, but his absolute favorite activity is cuddling. Whether it's a lazy afternoon nap on the couch next to me or a cozy evening spent with his head in my lap, these moments of connection are what make having a Cavapoo so special. They genuinely love to cuddle with their owner on the couch, making every moment feel warm and fuzzy. When we talk about a Cavapoo full grown, many people wonder about their size and temperament. Typically, a fully grown King Charles Cavalier Poodle mix will weigh anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds, making them a wonderfully manageable size. They maintain their playful puppy energy but also settle into a calm, affectionate adult dog (or 'cavapoo adulto') quite beautifully. Their intelligence from the Poodle side combined with the gentle nature of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel results in a well-balanced, trainable, and loving pet. Caring for a Cavapoo does come with its unique aspects. For instance, their curly fur requires regular attention. My first groom for my Cavapoo was an experience! I quickly learned the importance of daily brushing to prevent matting and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Finding a groomer who understands their coat type is key. Another practical tip for Cavapoo owners is thinking about travel. Ensuring your Cavapoo is safe in the car is paramount. We invested in a dedicated cavapoo car seat, which keeps him secure and comfortable on journeys, no matter how short or long. It's not just about safety; it also helps prevent motion sickness for some dogs and keeps them from distracting the driver. Finally, if you're living in an urban environment or have limited space, you might wonder, "Is a Cavapoo a small apartment dog?" The answer is a resounding yes! Their moderate size, combined with their desire for indoor companionship and relatively adaptable exercise needs, makes them ideal for apartment living. Regular walks and playtime are essential, of course, but they don't necessarily need a huge yard to be happy.
