top 3 things that CHANGED my body !!!
the TOP 3 things that completely changed my body !!!! 👇🏼
1. tracking my macros & actually understanding nutrition
i stopped guessing how to “eat as little as possible,” stopped the mindless snacking, learned the calorie + macro value of the foods i was eating, and started being CONSISTENT with my intake !!!
and if you’re in a deficit, it’s so important to understand that you’re not supposed to stay there forever. the goal isn’t to “cut” for the rest of your life — it’s to learn how to eat in a way that gets you results and is sustainable long-term.
2. strength training + intentional cardio
i started lifting 5x a week. HEAVY !!!!!! i focused on progressive overload, pushing myself, training close to failure, and actually getting STRONGER week after week.
cardio definitely still has a place in my routine !! i get my daily steps + incorporate lower-intensity stairs, but i’m not taking a million HIIT classes a day anymore 😭
3. sleep + recovery
THIS is where your body actually gets the chance to recover and adapt !!!!!
thinking you’re getting ahead by constantly doing more, sleeping less, and never taking a break… DONT !!! recovery is part of the process. your workouts are the stimulus & recovery is when your body gets to actually respond to it.
i’ve been focusing on the BASICS consistently for 2+ years now and this is where i’m at 🥹
if you’re stuck, don’t overcomplicate it.

When I began my body transformation journey, embracing these three fundamental pillars made all the difference. Tracking macros wasn’t just about counting calories; it was about understanding the nutritional value of every bite. Consistency in intake helped me move away from erratic eating patterns, making the entire process sustainable rather than a short-term diet. For anyone struggling with weight loss, focusing on macronutrients—protein, fats, and carbs—can drastically improve results while supporting overall health. Incorporating heavy strength training revolutionized my approach to fitness. Instead of endless cardio or sporadic workouts, I committed to lifting weights 5 times a week, focusing on progressive overload. This meant pushing myself to lift heavier or do more reps gradually, which kept my muscles challenged and growing stronger. Pairing this with intentional low-intensity cardio like daily steps and stair-climbing helped maintain cardiovascular health without overtraining. Most importantly, I learned the hard way that sleep and recovery aren’t optional. They’re essential parts of the transformation puzzle. Skimping on rest initially seemed like a way to do more, but it only led to burnout and stalled progress. Giving my body time to adapt and repair allowed me to train harder and smarter. Rest days, quality sleep, and even relaxation techniques significantly impacted my results. From my experience, if you feel stuck or overwhelmed, don’t overcomplicate things. Focus on mastering these basics with patience: track your macros thoughtfully, commit to strength training routines, and honor recovery. This triad helped me go from feeling stuck in the skinny-fat cycle to confident and strong. Remember, body change is a marathon, not a sprint, and embracing these fundamentals sustainably will bring long-lasting transformations.
