It finally arrived - Martha’s first Christmas book from 1989! I was holding out for a copy with the original cover but couldn’t wait any longer.
Martha has always forged her own path but these early publications in particular were unique, somewhat eccentric, and reflect her style and personality in a state of pure creativity. Countercultural in the focus on homemade, natural foods, and decorations that were either homemade or collected from nature instead of a product of consumerism at a time when not very many people were doing these things.
This book truly is a how-to guide for the holidays and I will definitely coming back to some of these ideas year after year.
