I WONT BE USING NATIVE ANYMORE

I have found out that Native currently has a lawsuit against them because their hair care products are making people’s hair fall out. ❌🙅🏻‍♀️

I bought their products because the labels make it sound like it’s really good for you, and on the Yuka App (I’ll make a different post about that app) it had ratings of 69/100 and 93/100.

*edit: those in the comments said Yuka is not reliable. I will likely stop using it now*

My hair started to fall out in large amounts once switching to this shampoo and conditioner…

It’s said that they are being deceitful about what’s in it.

So I started to do some research and came across ODELE:

❤️Product: ODELE Shampoo and Conditioner

🛒Brand: ODELE

👍Why I like it: It has made my hair very soft and silky, smells fresh and clean, and doesn’t make my hair fall out.

✍️How to use it: I have put shampoo the size of a nickel in my hair and rubbed it into my scalp with a scalp massager and rinsed. Then I applied the conditioner to my hair, took my hairbrush and brushed it in to take out any knots, and let it sit for 2 minutes and rinsed.

💰Price: $11.99 each

⭐Rate: 5/5 A little pricey but I think it’s worth it for finding a great shampoo and conditioner!

... Read moreIt was truly alarming to discover that the issues I was experiencing with Native shampoo, like significant hair fall, weren't just isolated incidents. Learning about the Native shampoo lawsuit made me realize I wasn't alone, and it wasn't just limited to their hair care. I started seeing concerns and discussions online about Native body wash lawsuits and even Native deodorant lawsuits, indicating a broader problem within the brand's product lines. It made me question everything I thought I knew about 'clean' beauty and pushed me to find truly reliable alternatives. After my disappointing experience with Native, I was really hesitant to try anything new, especially with worries like 'does Odele cause hair loss?' popping up in my mind. However, after doing a lot of research, Odele kept coming up as a brand with positive reviews and a more transparent approach to ingredients. I specifically picked up their light green cylindrical bottles – the Odele Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner – because my hair tends to be a bit frizzy. I was looking for something that offered extra moisture and frizz control, and these promised just that, along with shine. So far, my experience has been nothing but positive. My hair feels incredibly soft and looks healthier, and most importantly, the hair fall has stopped. I haven't found any credible information regarding an 'Odele lawsuit' related to hair loss, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. Beyond just switching products, I’ve also adopted a more holistic approach to hair care to help my hair recover its strength and vitality. I make sure to be extra gentle when detangling, using a wide-tooth comb or my fingers first, especially when my hair is wet. Regular scalp massages, even just with my fingertips, have become a part of my routine to stimulate blood flow. I’m also mindful of my diet, ensuring I get enough protein and vitamins essential for healthy hair growth. It's a combination of these practices and, of course, using a product like Odele that truly works for my hair that has made all the difference. Since I’ve learned that apps like Yuka might not be the most reliable for vetting products, I’ve developed my own system. Now, before I buy any new shampoo or conditioner, I scrutinize the ingredient list myself. I look for 'free from' claims like parabens, sulfates, and phthalates, and then I cross-reference any unfamiliar ingredients with reputable cosmetic ingredient databases. I also spend more time reading genuine user reviews, looking for consistent feedback on performance and, critically, any reported negative reactions. It takes a little more effort, but knowing what I'm putting on my body gives me so much more confidence and prevents unpleasant surprises like finding out my shampoo is linked to hair loss.

@Jamie Norgard I've been using native for a long time and have had no problem with my hair. I'm thinking that people have different reactions. I have very sensitive skin and expand but my skin and scalp are not bothered by their products. I wish people would stop bashing the company

I use Native and it’s been the only thing to genuinely save my hair. I used to struggle a lot with excessive oil and my hair was crazy damaged from an ombré. Not everything is a good match for everyone and I think people tend to forget that with hygiene products

Text on a faded background of an old sailing ship explains that Arab traders carried the Key lime to Spain, then colonizers brought it to the Americas in the 16th century, with Columbus introducing citrus in 1493.
