High protein and Light at the same time??
This was definitely an odd one, but it gave me that oh so good feeling of being full but without having to change into sweatpants and lay down! The usual Sunday eggs and sausages or eggs and corned beef hash was just weighing on my stomach too much and likely slowing my metabolism down with all the added butter/grease and oil used to cook. All that gets you is enflamed ovaries and a feeling like there’s a big rock in your stomach.
Instead, try non traditional breakfast foods to switch it up a little bit! You might be surprised at what you gain from it nutritionally!
So this was extremely easy to prepare, all I added was:
🥑1/2 cup of 1% milk fat cottage cheese (13g of protein.)
🥑a 1/4 cup of the broccolini mix
🥑half of a mini English cucumber, sliced into quarters
🥑A drizzle of balsamic vinegar, and a little bit of pepper
I want to play with more variations on cottage cheese soon and make it a forever staple at my house! The dish altogether blasted my metabolism in the morning and made me that good kind of full!

Many people find themselves feeling sluggish after traditional heavy breakfasts. Instead, opting for lighter, healthier alternatives can enhance energy levels and maintain satisfaction without the bloat. A great option is cottage cheese, which provides a significant protein boost. With roughly 13 grams of protein per 1/2 cup, it enhances satiety while being low in calories. Pairing cottage cheese with fresh vegetables like broccolini and cucumber not only adds flavor but also delivers essential nutrients and fiber. Experimenting with different toppings can revitalize your morning routine. Consider including spices or a squeeze of lemon for added zest. Moreover, balsamic vinegar drizzled on your dish provides a tangy kick, marrying beautifully with the creamy texture of cottage cheese. For those with dietary preferences or restrictions, cottage cheese is versatile, easily substituting for ingredient-rich breakfast options. Additionally, this meal caters well to those managing insulin resistance or PCOS, offering a balanced way to start the day without spiking blood sugar levels. Promoting a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be a chore; simple substitutions can yield great results, leading to sustained energy and overall well-being. Incorporating high-protein meal ideas into your breakfast routine can significantly impact your daily energy levels and metabolism.
