Calling all college students!

I’ve been putting together a list of things I’ll need for college, but I’m still unsure about what’s essential and what’s not. I’d love some advice on dorm must-haves, college class supplies, and things you wish you brought but didn’t! If you attend West Chester University, Monmouth, Alvernia, MA College of Pharmacy and Health Science, or Rutgers, please share your experiences! What do you love (or not love) about your school? If it helps, I’m going pre-med! 🩺 Also, I’ve got some questions:

1️⃣ How are communal bathrooms? Is it worth upgrading to a suite-style dorm with a private bathroom?

2️⃣ Is it true that you get sick a lot in college? How can I avoid it?

... Read moreAs a college student preparing for a new academic year, understanding what to pack and what to expect can be overwhelming. When it comes to dorm essentials, having the right supplies can enhance your college experience significantly. Key items you might need include bedding, kitchen supplies, and organization tools to keep your space tidy and functional. If you’re concerned about communal living, look into dormitory amenities such as private bathrooms or suite-style living arrangements that could provide a better comfort level. Health is another vital consideration for college students, especially those in communal living situations. Students often find themselves dealing with illness due to close quarters and exposure to various germs. To stay healthy, it’s advisable to adopt preventive measures, such as frequent hand washing, maintaining a balanced diet, and staying hydrated. Regular exercise can also play an essential role in boosting your immune system and overall well-being while navigating the challenges of college life. Embrace this opportunity to learn from others and gain insights that are beneficial for your journey ahead.

I bought the biggest emergenC gummy bottle when I first started. One a day with my vitamins and bring hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE. I even work at a university now and students and faculty are constantly sick.

I don’t know how communals are- but my dorms I’ve gotten 4 roommates to one bathroom before it was fine we just knew how long we could shower if we did it in the am. Only annoying if someone wouldn’t clean up after themselves. 2- not true, I didn’t get sick a lot. I kept my distance from ppl who were and was fine.
