Big change to Black trim
Started painting the trim black pepper this weekend. The walls will be painted after, everything’s going white. What do you guys think ?
Painting interior trim black, especially in a shade like black pepper, is a fantastic way to add depth and modernity to any room. From my own experience, starting with the trim before moving on to the walls helps define the space clearly and makes the lighter wall colors pop more vividly. Black trim creates a striking contrast against white walls, promoting a clean yet edgy aesthetic that works well in both contemporary and classic home designs. When planning such a transformation, consider coordinating your furniture and décor to complement the bold trim. Natural wood tones and metallic accents often pair exceptionally well with black and white palettes, adding warmth and sophistication. Additionally, the matte finish of black pepper paint can reduce glare and hide imperfections better than glossy alternatives. Don't rush into the walls without ensuring your trim paint is fully cured and properly taped off to avoid any unwanted overlaps. This approach also protects the crisp lines that make black trim so visually appealing. Overall, this paint strategy not only revitalizes the room but also elevates the perceived value of your home, creating a welcoming yet stylish environment.
