Investments Returns 2025

Today, I am sharing my investment returns — $95,000 year-to-date on a $500,000 portfolio.

I’m not sharing this to flex, but to document my journey and be fully transparent with all of you. Every win, every mistake, and every lesson matters.

And here are the biggest lessons I learned this year:

1. Consistency Matters More Than Prediction

I didn’t try to time the market. I just showed up every week, executed my strategy, and let the numbers work. Discipline beat guessing.

2. Protecting Downside Creates Upside

The reason I was able to stay profitable wasn’t because of big wins — it was because I managed risk tightly. Cutting losers, sizing correctly, and staying patient made a huge difference.

3. Quality Assets Do the Heavy Lifting

The positions that carried my portfolio weren’t hype plays. They were strong, reliable companies and strategic options trades built on fundamentals. Good assets compound quietly, but powerfully.

... Read moreAchieving impressive investment returns, such as $95,000 year-to-date on a $500,000 portfolio, requires more than luck — it demands a disciplined approach and smart risk management. One of the most important takeaways for any investor is that consistency in execution often beats attempting to time the market. Rather than second-guessing market fluctuations, showing up regularly and following a well-planned strategy allows your portfolio to grow steadily over time. In addition, protecting your downside risk is crucial to unlocking long-term gains. Investors who focus on cutting losses early, properly sizing their positions, and staying patient tend to avoid major drawdowns that can cripple returns. This conservative approach to managing risk means you keep more profits when markets are volatile, creating a stronger base for growth. Finally, quality assets serve as the core drivers of portfolio growth. Instead of chasing hype or speculative plays, focusing on fundamentally strong, reliable companies and strategic options trading can deliver compounding returns quietly yet powerfully. These sound investments will usually weather market turbulence better and enhance overall portfolio stability. By integrating these principles — consistency, risk control, and selecting quality investments — you not only safeguard your assets but also set the stage for meaningful and sustainable growth in your investment journey. This approach exemplifies smart investing and can help investors at all levels build wealth with confidence.

Investment requires caution. What software do people usually use?🥺 I just started using Longbridge recently and feel it’s quite beginner-friendly.

Alright peopleeeee we are heading into the mid-30s soon. There’s so much noise about aging, and I know people who will never reveal their age but there is so much freedom in just embracing it. Also, can we talk about how the 30s are so much better than the 20s? No complaints here. My husband
