My portfolio crossed the $700k mark!

Hi dear readers,

Happy to share that I have cleared another milestone! Have cleared the $700k as of now (many thanks to the strong market) however my portfolio will most likely fluctuate below that level due to the fed decision, what Powell says, big tech earnings and how the trump xi meeting goes. Hopefully everything goes well and as per market expectations.

As the portfolio size gets larger, the amount of time for each $100k increase is getting shorter. It just took me around 1.5 months to move from $600k to $700k. I am now setting a stretch goal of trying to hit $780-800k by the end of 2025.

One helpful approach I've found is to closely monitor daily portfolio changes, like my recent daily profit and loss of approximately SGD 12,541.79, which helps in making timely decisions without being reactive to short-term noise. Maintaining a small cash reserve, as I do with about SGD 156.24, allows for quick opportunities or cushioning against volatility. As the portfolio size grows, I noticed it takes less time to add each incremental $100k. This is encouraging and suggests reinforcing successful investment behaviors while diversifying to manage risks. Setting a stretch goal to reach around $780k-$800k by the end of 2025 keeps me motivated but also grounded in market realities. For anyone aiming to build a substantial portfolio, consider regular reviews of your asset allocation and market trends. Embrace long-term planning but be prepared for fluctuations. Sharing progress and strategies, even lessons learned through challenges, can create a supportive community focused on financial growth. Ultimately, success in investing combines patience, informed risk-taking, and adapting to economic indicators — all while staying safe and rational in the markets.
