June is always when my reading goes into overdrive. Our local library summer reading challenge has started and I have been put in some serious hours! 😉
So far, no misses!
📚Song of Achilles: Beautiful and heartbreaking. The writing is almost lyrical and despite knowing how the myth goes, I still wasn’t prepared for the hurt.
📚A Dowry of Blood: Not my usual go-to type of book but I’m so glad I branched out a bit! I rarely come across books in 2nd person so this was a really fun surprise.
📚Fourth Wing & Iron Flame: I get the hype now. This series has a chokehold on me already and I’m going through withdrawals. Yarros is a master at cliffhangers and I love/hate them for it. December can’t come quick enough.
📖 Circe: written by the same author as Song of Achilles and so far had much of the same style. I’m looking forward to the rest!
