It rains a lot, and there's a sentence that runners like to talk about a lot.
"It's raining, it's running. What are you afraid of?"
"Run, the rain is cool."
"Real practice must not choose the weather."
Honestly, it's partly true.
Rain doesn't always mean it can't run.
Some days drizzle, cold weather, no thunder, the road is not very slippery, the body is ready, going out and running lightly can even be a good experience.
But the question is.... Is it necessary to force every time?
Because some people don't go out and run because they're "ready."
But left because "afraid of losing the plan."
Afraid that the rehearsal schedule was not complete
Afraid that friends see that they are not diligent
Afraid of myself, not serious
Afraid that one day off will cause all fitness to disappear
In the end, it's not a rehearsal.
But it is to take the ego to run in the rain
It's not raining as scary as thunder.
Wet roads are not as scary as forced runs on slippery ground.
Wet shoes are not as scary as falling and then sore long.
Missing a day of practice is not as scary as having to rest for a month because of stubbornness.
Being a good runner doesn't mean running in all weather.
But it is to know "which days should go" and "which days should be enough."

But if it's raining heavily, there's thunder, there's water, there's no way to see it, the road's slippery, or the body's tired.
Not running is not weakness.
It's a smart decision that really understands rehearsal.
Because the goal of rehearsal is not to complete the name every day.
But it is to strengthen the body in the long run.
Some days running in the rain can make us feel cool.
But some days retreating can keep us running for months.
Many runners are good at fighting.
But not good at risk assessment.
And in the long run,
The ones who go further may not be the ones who practice every day.
But people who know what day to rehearse, what day to rest, and what day to change their plans.
It rained and ran.
But don't let running become self-proofing every time.
Sometimes discipline is not about running.
But discipline is to stop before the body forces us to stop.
You can run, but you can't make a fool.
Because runners who grow up are not the ones who can stand everything.
But people who listen to the body, listen to the environment and make smarter choices.
จากที่ได้ลองวิ่งในช่วงฝนตกบ่อยๆ ผมพบว่าสิ่งสำคัญคือการฟังสัญญาณจากร่างกายและสภาพแวดล้อมมากกว่าการยึดติดตารางซ้อมอย่างเคร่งครัด บางครั้งการออกไปวิ่งตอนฝนตกปรอยๆ ทำให้รู้สึกสดชื่น ช่วยลดอุณหภูมิและคลายความร้อนที่สะสมในร่างกาย แต่เมื่อต้องเจอกับฝนตกหนัก ฟ้าร้อง หรือถนนลื่น การฝืนวิ่งอาจนำไปสู่การบาดเจ็บ หรือแม้กระทั่งการหมดแรงกลางทาง เพราะฉะนั้นการประเมินความเสี่ยงและรู้จักหยุดพักเป็นวินัยที่แท้จริง นอกจากนี้ แนะนำให้นักวิ่งเตรียมอุปกรณ์ที่เหมาะสม เช่น รองเท้าวิ่งที่กันลื่นและระบายอากาศดี หรือเสื้อผ้ากันน้ำเบาๆ ที่ช่วยรักษาอุณหภูมิร่างกาย แต่ถ้าสภาพไม่ปลอดภัย เช่น น้ำท่วมขัง หรือฟ้าร้อง ควรชะลอแผนซ้อม หรือเปลี่ยนกิจกรรมเป็นการฝึกภายในห้อง เช่น การยืดเหยียด หรือเวทเทรนนิ่ง เพื่อรักษาความฟิตโดยไม่เสี่ยงบาดเจ็บ ประสบการณ์วิ่งในฝนสอนให้รู้ว่าการฝืนไม่ใช่คำตอบเสมอไป ความสำเร็จระยะยาวมาจากการเลือกซ้อมอย่างชาญฉลาด ฟังร่างกาย และให้ความสำคัญกับการฟื้นฟูตัวเองมากพอ รวมถึงการตั้งเป้าหมายที่เหมาะสมเพื่อให้สามารถวิ่งได้อย่างต่อเนื่องและมีความสุขในทุกๆ วัน
