How can I deal with mean people who call me ugly

4/14 Edited to

... Read moreDealing with people who call you ugly can be really tough, but over time, I’ve learned that their harsh words often reflect their own struggles. When someone targets your appearance with insults, it’s important to remind yourself that their negativity usually stems from personal issues or low self-esteem. One thing that has helped me is shifting my focus from their insults to building my own self-love. Engaging in positive self-talk and surrounding myself with supportive friends boosts my confidence. I also try to remember that their words don’t define my worth or beauty. Ignoring mean comments can be powerful. Sometimes, responding only fuels negativity, so choosing silence or a calm response helps maintain your peace. If the situation happens repeatedly, setting boundaries or seeking help from trusted people can protect your mental health. Additionally, focusing on activities and hobbies that make you feel good about yourself can reinforce your self-esteem. Whether it’s exercising, creative pursuits, or learning new skills, focusing on your strengths builds resilience. Lastly, it’s useful to recognize that everyone has flaws, and beauty isn’t just about looks—it’s about kindness, character, and how you treat others. Try to remind yourself of these qualities daily to stay grounded and strong in the face of unfair criticism.

My old friend used to say sorry a lot for things that hurt me a lot. I gave her three different tries to be friends because she hurt me all three times one by lying about not being able to hang out for plans we made two months prior knowledge. I had her location cause our friend group had life360.
