This is why we choose to live in British Columbia, isa sa probinsya na nay pinakamahal na cost of living dito sa Canada. 🇨🇦 But we get what we pay for:
nature, 10 min drive scenic view, parks, better outdoor lifestyle, 30 minutes blue water lakes, lesser winter snow, better weather. Life is good here 🇨🇦🇵🇭❤️ #BuhayCanada #lifestyle #intentionalliving
Living in British Columbia definitely comes with its challenges, especially with the high cost of living, but from my experience, the benefits far outweigh those expenses. One thing I've truly appreciated is having nature right at my doorstep. Whether it’s a quick 10-minute drive to spectacular scenic views or having parks nearby where I can take leisurely walks, these small everyday pleasures add a great sense of well-being and balance to life. Another highlight is the proximity to blue water lakes which are roughly 30 minutes away. It’s been a wonderful way to disconnect without needing to travel far, perfect for weekend getaways or even spontaneous afternoon trips. The lakes not only offer recreational activities but also serve as tranquil spots to relax and recharge. Regarding the weather, British Columbia provides a more temperate climate compared to other parts of Canada. Winters have noticeably less snow, allowing for easier mobility and fewer weather-related hassles. This better weather considerably enhances outdoor living, encouraging an active lifestyle throughout the year. A key philosophy I live by, reflecting the inspirational message I saw — “design your life in a way you don't need a vacation from it” — resonates deeply here. The environment and lifestyle in this province encourage and support intentional living. The availability of natural spaces combined with a friendly community creates a wholesome life experience that feels more like a permanent retreat than just a place to reside. In summary, while the initial financial considerations can be daunting, investing in a life here has proven invaluable. The blend of breathtaking landscapes, outdoor opportunities, and a climate that's easier to manage fosters a fulfilling and balanced daily routine. If you prioritize well-being and lifestyle quality, British Columbia’s high cost of living is a meaningful trade-off.
