Fast Mags
These are MG land speed record cars, famously known for shattering speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the 1930s and 50s.
• Front (EX181): Known as the "Roaring Raindrop," it reached 254.5 mph in 1959 with Phil Hill driving.
It used a supercharged engine based on the MGA.
• Back (EX135): Driven by Goldie Gardner, this car was the first 1100cc vehicle to top 200 mph.
Both used highly tuned versions of standard MG production engines, wrapped in "teardrop" bodies to achieve maximum aerodynamics.
