There’s a quiet rhythm to coastal mornings in spring—one that lingers in memory. At First Light captures that atmosphere, where the air is calm and the day begins to gently unfold. Inspired by a visit to Canada’s East Coast, the painting portrays a shoreline in full bloom, with lupines spreading their colour across the land like nature’s own brushwork. The soft sky, distant cliffs, and textured greenery reflect the quiet beauty found in regions such as Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. This work invites reflection—an appreciation for fleeting moments, the return of spring, and the timeless connection we feel to places shaped by light, season, and memory.
