I miss the extensions
I completely understand how it feels to miss having hair extensions. They add volume, length, and versatility to your hairstyle, making your look instantly more glamorous. After removing them, it can be challenging to adjust to your natural hair, but with the right care and techniques, you can still enjoy styling your natural locks beautifully. One of the first things I noticed after taking out my extensions was the difference in hair volume and length. To help bring back fullness, I started using lightweight volumizing mousses and root-lifting sprays that don't weigh my hair down. Using a wide-tooth comb instead of a brush helps reduce breakage, especially since your natural hair might be more fragile after wearing extensions. Deep conditioning treatments became my best friend. They restore moisture and strength, keeping my hair soft and manageable. I also began experimenting with different protective styles like braids, buns, or twists, which not only protect my natural hair but also give me versatility without causing stress to the roots. If you miss the styling options that extensions offered, consider clip-in extensions that you can easily add or remove as needed without the commitment. Also, embracing accessories like scarves, headbands, or decorative pins can add some flair to your natural hairdo. Remember, patience is key since natural hair grows and recovers over time. Treating it gently with sulfate-free shampoos and avoiding excessive heat styling helps maintain its health. With proper care, your natural hair can look just as gorgeous, if not more, than when you had extensions.
