How to get accepted to Physicians Assistant school
Here are three of my favorite tips to get a PA interview.
Remember…. All it takes it one acceptance and you’re golden!!!
1. Perfect your personal statement. Get as many eyes on it as possible!! I loved reaching out to my education and English major friends since they have such a different perspective and advice compared to other science majors!
2. Shadow PAs! Reach out to family or friends in healthcare and see if they have any connections. This allows the schools to see that you know the profession. Bonus points if you get close enough where they write you a letter of rec!
3. Letters of recommendation. I always think you should diversify your LOR! Anywhere from bosses/managers, to PAs/other health care providers, to college professors you were close to or worked with! This also shows that you have a lot of experience and excel in different scenarios

Lastly, researching each PA school's specific admission requirements can give you an edge. Some may prioritize work experience or volunteer hours, while others may focus more on academic performance.
