Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, signaling the start of Holy Week and the final week of his ministry before his crucifixion. crowds welcomed Jesus by laying palm branches—symbols of victory—in his path as he rode a donkey, fulfilling prophecy.
Reflecting on Holy Week personally, I find it to be a profound journey through the core events of Christian faith. Starting with Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered Jerusalem amidst cheers and palm branches, it reminds me of the hope and anticipation surrounding His mission. During Holy Week, each day brings a unique lesson. For example, on Monday, Jesus cleansed the temple, which challenges me to consider the purity and sincerity of my own worship. Tuesday's confrontation of religious hypocrisy invites a deeper look at authenticity in faith, encouraging me to live genuinely rather than performing outward righteousness. Wednesday's memory of Mary anointing Jesus with costly oil teaches the value of heartfelt devotion, reminding me that small acts of love and faithfulness are never wasted. Thursday holds a powerful example of humility with Jesus washing His disciples' feet—a reminder that true leadership often means serving others selflessly. Good Friday is the most solemn, recalling Jesus' sacrifice on the cross that secured salvation. It’s a day for deep gratitude and reflection on the depths of His love. Saturday, though quiet and often overlooked, demonstrates the importance of patience and trust in God's timing. Finally, Resurrection Sunday celebrates the victory over death, fulfilling Jesus’ promises and giving hope that transcends despair. Holy Week, experienced as a whole, invites believers like me to walk alongside Jesus’ final days and embrace the profound lessons of faith, humility, sacrifice, and ultimate hope.
