Gooey butter cake

Tried my hand at making a St. Louis classic for a homesick friend from there. It’s a super easy recipe and it turned out great!

The bottom layer is 1 box cake mix( I used yellow but was told you could use pretty much any), 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of butter melted, and a little vanilla.

The top is a brick of cream cheese softened, 2 eggs, about 4 cups of powdered sugar and a little vanilla.

I baked it at 350 for about 40 minutes, let it cool and then topped it with more powdered sugar.
